Improved accuracy during rail threading

The SPG - Self-Propelled PreGauger saves both time and energy, while simultaneously improving accuracy when threading rails into tie plates. A 5HP Briggs and Stratton engine propels the machine forward during the gauging process, eliminating the manual pushing necessary in most pre-gauging equipment.

Quickly adjust for different rail gauges

Simply adjust the gauge adjusting bar to accommodate different rail gauge needs.

Lightweight and portable

At less than 800 lbs., the SPG - Self-Propelled PreGauger easily lifts on and off the rail using the integrated lifting bail.

Plenty of storage and ease of use

The large, anti-slip platform provides plenty of additional storage for tie plates and tools. In addition, the storage platform acts as a natural counterweight, allowing the gauge adjusting bar to easily glide over ties.
