The Curve Gage Spiker (CGS) includes a digital, variable roller gager that allows the setting of rail gauge distances while still performing spiking operations using a CX Hammer-type workhead. The guide wheels stabilize the rail during gauging and spiking activities. In addition, the optional bridge rail roller assembly allows the Curve Gang Spiker to spike tie plates on bridge rails.
The Production Spiker (CX Hammer) can simultaneously drive up to two spikes per rail, for a total of four per tie, while the spotting system allows fast alignment of the guns with the tie plate holes. The spiker uses a hammer-style reciprocating driving action that drives spikes in with 2,200 lbs. of spiking down force.
The Production Spiker (CX Hammer) equipped with an auto spike feeder option provides continuous spike feeding action from the bulk bin directly to the driving guns, eliminating the need for a feed tray operator.
The Production Spiker (SE Hammer) has been completely redesigned to offer maximum operator visibility in both work and travel modes. The new CANbus control system allows the operator to set most machine settings from a seated position using the tablet display. The SE Hammer makes maintenance easy, with a piping layout that includes a common gallery, shorter hoses, highly visible and simplified hose routings, and less fittings.
The Small Spiker (SS Spiker) is ideal for contractors and short-line railroads who need to quickly move equipment to different locations. The compact size and low weight reduce transportation costs and make it easier to load and unload. Operators control how spikes feed into the driving guns — selecting between manual load or auto-load options — with hydraulic-driven high-impact hammers providing effective spike-driving action.
