Adjust to different working conditions

  • Make simple adjustments to set the claw height for different rail heights.
  • Quickly change the width of the claw opening at any time.
  • Easily position inner and outer claws to align for different spike patterns.
  • Use optional specialized workhead assemblies to handle either Lewis bolts or hairpin spikes.

Keep production levels high while maximizing spike reuse

Ideal for high-production, easy-spotting applications, the Super Claws pulls two spikes simultaneously from each side of the rail. The patented Nordco claw provides powerful pulling power, while the Super Claws design allows spike extraction where other machines can’t reach, such as at joint bars. Since claw fingers grasp spikes under the head while the workhead assembly pulls straight up, spikes stay straight and re-usable.

Switch between rail and tie model

The Super Claws switches easily between rail and tie mode, allowing complete operator control over the pulling head positioning after each operation.

Small footprint means lower transportation costs

The Super Claws is ideal for contractors and short-line railroads who need to quickly move equipment to different locations. The compact size and low weight reduce transportation costs and make it easier to load and unload as well; an optional lifting sling is available
