Economical and easily transportable

The small footprint, minimal mechanical components, and low weight make the Hydra-Lift economical to operate, as well as extremely easy to transport. Heavy-duty cylinders aid in lifting the rails so that plates can be inserted between the rail and the tie.

Single- or dual-rail operation

Single- or dual-rail operating modes make the Hydra-Lift appropriate for use by both rail and tie gangs. Operators can insert and position plates under one or both rails from the field side. Dual-rail mode requires both operators to activate the propel switch, minimizing incidents.

Quickly adjust to different working conditions

Make simple workhead adjustments to handle the following:

  • Different rail sizes
  • Different rail heights
  • Different tie sizes

Operator ease of use

Hydra-Lift movement is easily controlled by the operator through the use of a propulsion valve handle; workhead functionality is also controlled using the valve banks. In addition, the ergonomic controls, including a height adjustable bracket for the valves, and the integrated plate-pushing tools make the Hydra-Lift very intuitive and easy to use.

Stock fewer maintenance parts

Since the Hydra-Lift uses many of the same components as other Nordco machines, you can stock fewer maintenance parts on your parts wagon.

Ad-hoc rail height adjustments

The rail height manual override option allows for quick, ad-hoc rail height changes for a single plate insertion. In addition, if a section of rail requires continuous manual overrides, a temporary override setting can be quickly set.
