For more than 80 years, Nordco has been the leading designer and manufacturer of railroad maintenance-of-way (MOW) machinery, such as Spikers, Spike Pullers, Tie Exchangers, Anchor Applicators, and Ballast Regulators. Today no other company supplies more of these types of machines to the North American railroads, public transit systems, contractors and equipment leasing companies. While new MOW machinery remains an important part of Nordco, the company in recent years has greatly expanded its product line, both internally and through the acquisition of new companies. In addition to new MOW machinery, the Nordco companies now offer rebuilt MOW machinery; in-house and on-site machinery inspection, maintenance and repair; reconditioned machinery rental; Railcar Movers; and ultrasonic testing services used in a variety of field and factory applications.
